 Alan Palmer MCCH Despite having spent a considerable part of his working life in electronics, Alan has always had a very keen interest in psychology, neuro-linguistic programming, health and wellbeing and alternative medicine. He studied neuro-linguistic programming in the 1980’s and has practised neuro-linguistic methods in a broad array of contexts for many years. Alan has an excellent understanding of a broad range of scientific and medical concepts, and he applies this knowledge to solve a variety of problems.
As a trained counsellor and hypnotherapist, Alan will admit willingly to being a sensitive and caring listener as well as to having an active (and sometimes wicked) sense of humour but is quite humble when he speaks of the feedback he gets from his clients. He has often been told that he makes a hypnotherapy session interesting, fun and highly enjoyable and that his clients greatly appreciate his acuity and insight which enable him to quickly zero in on problems and successfully assist his clients to resolve and overcome those issues – Alan is always striving to “do better” and is just pleased to be able to “make a difference”. Alan specialises in resolving clients’ issues in the areas of self esteem, stress management, stop smoking, anxiety and panic attacks, fears and phobias and weight management. Alan greatly enjoys his attendance at the tremendous variety of professional development seminars organised by CCH and says that “to be part of a professional organisation with such a collective range and depth of knowledge is just awe-inspiring” Alan is very enthusiastic about hypnotherapy and its capacity to heal and help people so effectively and holistically. He is a generous and warm individual with a great deal of knowledge and the ability to put that knowledge, warmth and generosity into practice for the benefit of his clients. |
