“The CCH aims and aspirations resonate so clearly and deeply with my passion and vision for our profession, I welcome an alliance between the CCH and the APHP.”
APHP Chairman, Terence Watts

Cordial and productive discussions between CCH and APHP in the UK have demonstrated quite clearly that although CCH has been founded as the national representative body for the Clinical Hypnotherapy profession in Australia, its vision most certainly has international appeal.

“The CCH aims and aspirations resonate so clearly and deeply with my passion and vision for our profession, I welcome an alliance between the CCH and the APHP” enthused APHP Chairman, Terence Watts.

The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy is a significant professional association with world-wide membership. APHP is based in the UK, with offices also in Germany, Italy, Hong Kong and the USA and its list of approved training institutions includes twenty British and international Clinical Hypnotherapy schools.

This leading association is dedicated to maintaining a high standard of professionalism amongst its members, all of whom are fully covered by hypnotherapist's professional indemnity insurance and committed to ongoing training and supervision. It is only possible to join the APHP via invitation or training by an accredited hypnotherapy school.

According to Terence, “The APHP could be viewed as being “exclusive” but only in the sense of setting high standards – in all other senses, we welcome positive and pro-active initiatives which aim to unify the profession.”

An agreement for a strategic alliance between CCH and APHP currently being finalised will mean that CCH members would be accepted for membership of the APHP commensurate with their level of experience: practitioners with less than two years of clinical experience would be accepted as Licentiate Members and those with more than two years’ experience would be offered full membership.

We look forward to announcing the formal completion of this alliance in a forthcoming newsletter.
