If you are applying as a Full Member, whether practising or non-practising, you are required to submit copies of: • Diplomas, Degrees, Certificate etc • Proof of your membership of an approved professional hypnotherapy organisation or relevant professional body. • Police Check. (If a Police check is not possible in your Country, please Contact the CCH for an alternative.)
For Full Practising Membership you also require copies of: • First Aid certificate (Senior / Level 2) • Professional Indemnity Insurance
If you are awaiting your support documentation, feel free to submit your application. You will receive Provisional Membership pending submission of the documentation. The CCH generally allows 3 months of provisional membership for you to organise the documentation. If you require more information, read the FAQs pages or Contact the CCH. NEW MEMBER APPLICATION INFORMATION The CCH has adopted the Australian guidelines for recognition of professional qualifications and life skills. There are two main pathways to gain CCH membership: Firstly, Direct Credit Transfer (DCT)
Along with substantiating your education and supplying a police check, documentary evidence of existing full membership status with a professional organisation recognised by CCH is automatically accepted evidence for full CCH Membership. Secondly, Recognition of Prior Learning and Current Competencies (RPL&CC)
If you do not have formally recognized Certification , CCH membership may be granted through a range of different means including, but not limited to: • Formal membership with an existing professional organisation that is approved by CCH • Informal training and education • Work and general life experience • A combination of any of the above If you are a hypnotherapist and you are unsure as to whether or not you would be accepted by the CCH, we would recommend you submit your application for membership. Non-practising professional hypnotherapists, hypnotherapy students and 'friends of hypnosis' are also invited to apply for Full Member (Non practising), Student Member and Associate Member. These 3 membership levels are not expected to show the details required for Full Practising Member. Non practising hypnotherapists are required to show proof of education, a police check and their current professional organisation memberships. Students Members require a police check and student membership of a professional organisation. A 'Professional Organisation' is an Incorporated Association, Guild, Society or similar body that represents professional hypnotherapists and follows the minimum standards set by the CCH.
